Orlando grew up on a coffee farm, and this is what he has been working with since a very young age following his family's tradition. Such is the tradition, that just like Orlando, many of his relatives work in coffee too. His farm Pan de Azúcar, located in the village with the same name, has an extension of 3.5 ha - being half a hectare in a forest in the mountain.
Orlando told us that he feels extremely proud of having been able to support his family through his work in coffee. More specifically, he highlighted that having given his daughters the opportunity to study is what makes him the happiest.
His farm is located in a privileged area since the water they use for the cultivars comes from an aqueduct that carries water directly from the mountain range.
